Hanuman (contd)

"How are you?" One question asked a lifetime spent in reliving it. I have made it my life's honor to defend and protect the last of Sita's lineage (not Ram's who left Sita but for a crude comment) and I will do so however much anguish I have to face. I would have done anything for Sita, I would not have abandoned her. It would have been enough for me that she was safe and she was in my arms. I never should have sworn servitude to Ram when all I could think of was Sita and I couldn't take care of her."

Looking into the face sleeping Avera, Hanuman felt a sense of calm, the last lineage of Sita. The last descendant. He would go to any length to protect her. Suddenly there was a stir, Avera woke up to find Hanuman's stern gaze on her. It made her uncomfortable, she had a million questions to ask. On seeing her unsettled Hanuman began:

"For hundreds of years now I have been protecting your family, the sole purpose of my existence is that you and your family live...in peace. Your father belongs to a royal family and so do you. I will not go into which family because right now that is not important to know. There are people out to get you and would like to see you dead or worse. My duty right now is to take you to a safe place and prepare you for your destiny."

Avera couldn't contain her sheer frustration. "Hanuman" she said. "You are not answering any questions, you are raising more of them. Who am I? Who is after me? What is my destiny?".
